Beverly Hell is from Los Angeles, but she ventured out to London — fitting territory for her new drum-and-bass-inspired song "Ghost." The mood switch between the reflective verse and the angry, hard-hitting chorus keeps you on edge, building a spooky mystery around what actually happened between her and the person who vanished.
Beverly explains:
“We think we’re so successful at hiding who we are from one another, but we give everything away. Every movement and micro expression, the way our breath catches or lingers, tells the full story. Sometimes it’s easier to run when we think we’ve been caught. This song is about how that absence makes your presence linger even longer in the silence, and solidifies the stories you don’t want told.”
