LAWN CHAIR - Waste Your Potential!
LAWN CHAIR is a Berlin-based four-piece that draws comparisons to the angry German post-punk of the 80s. While Claudia Schlutius sings in English – she has also American roots – the sentiment is the same: things suck, but somehow you dance your way through it. The rough guitars contrast with the melodic parts, which was what the band was going for as Claudia explains:
“We spent a lot more time on production than ever before and there’s a lot more electronic influences in there. It’s eclectic but cohesive and I feel like we really found our style with the album. I also feel like the music captures our humor and silliness in a much better way. Uncompromising, playful and experimental.”
