LuxJury - Hot Mess
“Hot Mess” simmers with tension and tenderness — timeless, fearless, and full of feeling.
London-based duo LuxJury shine with their new single “Hot Mess” — a shimmering, soulful track that channels the spirit of Fleetwood Mac through a modern lens. Fronted by singer/guitarist Nicole “Lux” Fermie and drummer Howey Gill, the pair are currently finishing their debut album, due in Spring 2026 via Bella Union.
Vocalist Lux shares:
“It’s a love song for those who fall victim to the dopamine of someone new and end up allowing themselves to be strung along. It actually references quite a dark time in my life where I abandoned a lot of self-respect, holding out for the love of someone who just couldn’t quite make up their mind. It started out as a punk song and gradually mellowed out into a Fleetwood Mac-style driving song. I guess that sometimes happens with emotions; they first appear all visceral and raw and then with time get distilled into their calmer essences.”
“Hot Mess” glows with heart and hindsight — a song that turns emotional chaos into something beautifully clear.
