Late Again, the Brooklyn-based dream-pop project of Rafael Melo, finds the sweet spot between electronic pulse and dream-pop haze on "If You Have A Bridge (I'm Buying)." Driven by strong beats and a pulsating groove, the song takes an unexpected turn two-thirds in, slowing almost to a standstill before drifting into a hazy dreamscape and building momentum again. Melo says:

“It’s a song about consciously buying into pipe dreams, and finding happiness in that choice even when, in a place like this, ‘everyone you know is broke or blue’ as the lyric puts it.”

The track appears on Late Again's latest six-song collection, where the Brooklyn-based project of Rafael Melo combines hazy textures, alternative beats, melodies inspired by his native Brazil, and a sharp sense of observation. An atmospheric video, created with director Gabriel Rollinos, follows a surreal journey through all five boroughs of New York City, perfectly complementing the song's restless yet dreamlike spirit.
