“Every romantic interest is an identity crisis waiting to happen, a reversion into childhood desperation before I knew who I really was. I wrote this song during a time in my life when I was feeling creatively and physically stuck. It’s a song about the pain of choosing the harder route that you know is right for you, even when it’s tempting to revert to your old ways.”

She adds:

“This song, like every song on the EP, is about me. My insecurities, my reluctant strengths, my yearning for acceptance, my entertainment vs intellectual values, choosing between my gifts.”
