“‘In My Veins’ is about reflecting on moments from early life, realising the drastic impact they can have on everything that follows, for better or worse, and coming to terms with that. There’s also a sense of trying to reconnect with emotions and with other people after a long period of numbness, knowing that this is key to moving forward and finding something more hopeful."
Freyja also shared how "In My Veins" came together:
"The song started with a piano loop I had forgotten that I’d recorded into my electric piano years prior, and used that as the foundational tool to build up the song layers from there.”
