Daisy the Great have always had a gift for turning emotional messiness into something strangely inviting, and “Can I Have A Moment” leans fully into that strength. Built around Mina Walker and Kelley Dugan’s instantly recognizable harmonies, the song balances sharp-edged guitars and playful energy with the sting of wanting someone’s attention back after a breakup. “‘Can I Have A Moment’ came out of a breakup, and it was really cathartic to let those feelings of desperation and rejection bubble inside a song that grew to be so spirited and wry and playful. We recorded the song in our drummer Matti’s basement studio and it was such a creative and fun day. We were all layering a bunch of different parts on the track and it felt so intuitive and connected. ‘Can I Have A Moment’ is a cry into the ether of wanting to be loved and noticed by someone who once loved you back.”

We’ve seen Daisy the Great live a couple of times over the years, and that warmth and chemistry comes through here too.
