Detalji - Bring Me Back To Life

The Finnish singer, songwriter, and producer Detalji has announced their second album, Imagine Life. Its predecessor, the dance-floor-oriented Truly, was one of my favorites of 2023. Detalji explored a few different paths for the follow-up and landed, during a stay in Berlin, on a more synth-pop-oriented sound that lets their beautiful vocals shine.

Detalji says about the single, “Bring Me Back To Life.”

‘Bring Me Back to Life’ is about connection and desire becoming so overwhelming that everything else disappears for a moment. You’re so consumed by another person that the outside world fades away. It’s exciting but also frightening because it leaves you feeling vulnerable. In the song, I’m asking someone to pull me out of my anxiety and bring me back to myself.
