There’s something absolutely irresistible about The Midnight’s synth-pop universe. The LA duo — singer/songwriter Tyler Lyle and producer/multi-instrumentalist Tim McEwan — craft soundscapes that work any time of day, but truly come alive late at night. Their new single “Runaways,” featuring Bonnie McKee, channels exactly that mood, echoing the timeless feel of Boys of Summer while adding their own neon-lit twist. This track makes me even more excited to dive into their brand new album. Syndicate is out now via Ultra Records.
