Super Market - Ice Cream
British duo Super Market put their debut EP Shopping List out into the world yesterday, and it is brilliant! When I listened to the six-track album from start to finish, and started again, I felt spontaneously reminded of "Neue Deutsche Welle," the German new wave back in the early 80s. Music with catchy hooks and strong melodies, yet more sparsely instrumented and with lyrics that tackle everyday scenarios, with meaning. And when Super Market sing about "Ice Cream," then expect exactly that to be portrayed in the song too. Josh Super and Jack Market, who together are Super Market, say about "Ice Cream:"
