The London singer-songwriter Suki Emmanuelle proves with her debut single that she’s ready to follow her creativity wherever it leads. “Discover Heaven” begins as a driving synth-pop track and closes with a fuzzy guitar solo, her siren-like vocals carrying the song with striking intensity.
Suki recalls:
Discover Heaven” came about whilst I was wide awake one night, unable to sleep dwelling on thoughts of not being able to achieve what I want in life, being stuck in a position I didn’t like and burning out, the song’s structure, lyrics and melody revealing themselves almost too easily.
She adds:
I wanted to pair high baroque style vocals with a fast tempo and heavy percussion to create a juxtaposition, maybe reflecting a city dweller with the constant noise/chaos and a countryside hermit with a slower more peaceful lifestyle.
