Sirintip - White Lilies
A song that keeps changing its mind and never lets you land
“White Lilies” is about memories of something forever lost. For the NYC-based Swedish-Thai musician Sirintip, that something is her childhood home, filled with flowers. The music lets you feel both the gratitude and the yearning for her past. With piano and subtle electronics, the song changes its mood but never comes to a conclusion.
She says about the song on YouTube:
Whenever I smell white lilies, I’m transported back to my childhood home in Bangkok, where my dad would fill the house with them. I wrote this song as a longing poem to those beautiful memories I have growing up and how the house now is just an empty shell of what it used to be.
