Rosie Carney - The Evidence
A fever dream set to sound — Rosie Carney’s “The Evidence” is bold, dystopian, and magnetic.
Singer/songwriter Rosie Carney is about to release her fourth studio album, bearing the ominous and irresistible title Doomsday… Don’t Leave Me Here. The record arrives on February 27, and until then, we can immerse ourselves in her magnificent new single, “The Evidence.”
The track was co-written and co-produced by Ross MacDonald (The 1975) and Ed Thomas, and it already feels like a standout — something Rosie herself highlights:
“It’s funny because I LOVE the production of this song, it’s so exciting to me. But the song’s theme is very dystopian. It’s about that state of delirium you experience when you’re burning out but resting or being still is out of the question because it makes you feel too guilty, so you end up overexerting yourself mentally and physically. It becomes an extremely difficult cycle to break free from and everything ends up feeling like a complete fever dream. I think this is probably the boldest sounding song on the album. It set various tones for the rest of the production."
“The Evidence” pulls you into that fever dream with cinematic force — bold, restless, and quietly devastating in its honesty. Listen to our Song Pick of the Day and watch the equally cinematic video, directed by Cal McIntyre.
