The title of Robin Kester’s new single is a quiet meditation in itself, and the almost haunting melody deepens that mood. “An Hour Per Day” - quick, think: what would you want to do for one hour each day? Or what do you have to do?

When we saw Robin Kester at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton, her show stood out as a highlight. The Dutch alt-rock musician and her band delivered a set that was nothing short of captivating. I only wish we had caught both of her performances... Hopefully, there will be another live chance soon!

Asked about "An Hour Per Day," Robin says:

“I was stuck in my head and struggling to write. So, I followed some simple advice: spend one hour a day doing something you love. For me, that became working on this song. What started as a guitar-based demo and a piano noodle grew into a layered, mostly instrumental track shaped by intuitive improvisation, tension, and happy accidents.”
