“Please Stop Laughing,” the new single by New York-based duo Ray BullAaron Graham and Tucker Elkins—hits with an immediate sense of joy. Bright, expressive vocals carry the song forward, matched with a confident swagger and an upbeat pulse that feels effortlessly alive. The hook lands sharp and irresistible, the kind that lingers long after the song ends.

The band captures the emotional core in their own words:

"It's tough to say exactly what this song is about, but the title seems important and it’s where we got the title for the album. Something that feels kind of desperate and feels sort of human. I think we wanted to get close to something that feels human in that way. Pleading for somebody to stop pleading for grace, begging for dignity."

That tension, between lightness and something more exposed, comes through vividly. Even the video leans into that contrast, letting the song sit just beneath the surface while the story unfolds. And that very New York moment, with people approaching Tucker and genuinely believing he had just left the hospital, adds a touch of unexpected humor to an otherwise solitary, vulnerable scene.
