Paperwhite - By Your Side
We first came across Ben Marshall behind the drums for Savoir Adore. Together with his sister Katie Marshall, he forms the synth-pop duo Paperwhite. The pair just released their lush, nostalgia-tinged EP Reach.
Its final single, “By Your Side,” is beautifully restrained dream pop—with just enough flourish to make you groove and sing along as Katie coos, “You got me by your side, you got me hypnotised.”
About the new EP, the duo shares:
"The 'Reach' EP is a reflection of where we've been and where we're going—a collection of songs shaped by longing, nostalgia, and the quiet magic of memory. We made it for anyone who’s ever felt lost in a dream or found comfort in a feeling they couldn’t quite name. We hope it brings a sense of wonder and a little more light.”
