Oyama - The Bookshop

“I was writing those lyrics and had bookshop Skálda in mind," explains Oyama singer and keyboarder Júlía Hermansdóttir about her band's new song "The Bookshop". She adds, "If I were to walk from my home and downtown to the bar, then technically I could stop by this bookshop on Vesturgata on the way.”

Since Oyama calls Iceland their home, this puts a romantic and cozy image in your mind. The song matches that impression: melodic guitars and Júlía‘s warm vocals take you on a mental walk through town.
