Miss Grit returns with “Tourist Mind,” a cinematic, beat-driven reflection on losing yourself in other people’s thoughts.
The song opens with dramatic strings, like the beginning of a film. But when the four-on-the-floor beat kicks in and dreamy vocals float over the mix, all bets are off. But that is not all that Miss Grit, the project of New York artist Margret Sohn, does to get into your mind – after all, that is what "Tourist Mind" is about.
Margret explains:
It’s about how curiosity for other people’s thoughts can slowly disorient you and make it harder to return to yourself.
