Miranda Del Sol - keep it to yourself

“The chorus came to me on the way to the grocery store…” 🛒 That spark became Miranda del Sol’s irresistible new track “keep it to yourself,” from her debut EP.

The Brooklyn-based Cuban-Argentinian singer-songwriter Miranda Del Sol plays a game of seduction in her irresistible new track “keep it to yourself.” Its elegant, restrained production sharpens Miranda’s matter-of-fact vocal delivery, while the bilingual lyrics feel unforced — more like the natural code-switching of someone who lives between cultures. The result is a song that moves between allure and defiance, smoothness and bite.

She recalls the writing process:

‘keep it to yourself’ was the first time Nick, Maya, and I tried to write together. Maya played the opening riff, which Nick immediately chopped up. The chorus came to me on the way to the grocery store, and once I tracked the vocals, we kept reshaping the production until it struck that balance of feeling smooth but still hitting hard in the choruses.

“keep it to yourself is on her new EP when you were asleep (vol. i), out now via Cosmica Artists. Listen to our Song Pick of the Day on Spotify, Apple Music, or watch the visualizer below.
