Dream pop that flickers between the world you know and the one you might choose instead
Real change often starts with something as small as stepping outside your comfort zone. The Polish, Berlin-based singer-songwriter Marta Poti wrote her new song "Parallel Reality" over several years, drawing on her own experience. Maybe that's why the song walks so easily between the familiar and the strange — between dream pop and the soundtrack to a surreal dream sequence.
Marta explains:
I want my songs to always carry hope for change and love, even when it begins with something very small — a quiet decision to break the ties we’ve accepted for years, to choose differently, and to become who we always wanted to be.
