Lunar June - let me love you

We've been fans of pop artist Lunar June since her breakout hit "bathrooms at parties," and didn’t want to miss her latest single either. "Let me love you" showcases Lunar June’s signature production style and her uncanny knack for both musical and lyrical hooks. Olivia Judd, aka Lunar June, shares this about her new song:

“I wrote this song with Georgia Winter and Francesca Everly back in September 2024 in their flat in Brixton. We made the song in an afternoon and then I took it to my longtime collaborator, Luke Marsden. We had so much fun developing and finishing the production and arrangement of the track, laying down guitars, bass, and synths. The vocal production was a particularly fun part of it, layering loads of harmonies.”

Lunar Junes continues and reveals more about her inner state when she's been crafting the song:

“I wrote the song in the midst of a very painful breakup last summer, in which I was also being ghosted by my ex - YIKES! We’d been best friends for 8 years and in a relationship for 4 of them, and he broke up with me whilst he was on tour and that was it, I never saw him again... This song is a culmination of all the emotions I was wrestling with in the confusing months that followed: sadness, longing, anger.”

Essentially, she sums it up as follows:

“You can’t change someone’s capacity to be loved and give love, and that unfortunately, love isn’t always enough.”
