Laveda - Heaven

The intro to "Heaven," the new single by New York duo Laveda, stretches on just a touch — but it sets the tone perfectly. When Ali Genevich sings, “Every day, it’s just the same old story,” the mood clicks into place, and we’re all in.

"Heaven" marks an exciting new chapter for Laveda, whose third album Love, Darla is set to drop on September 12 via Bar/None Records—the legendary Hoboken label known for launching acts like They Might Be Giants and Yo La Tengo. It’s a fitting home for a band like Laveda, who continue to push the boundaries of shoegaze and indie rock.

We’ve been fans of Laveda for years—even inviting them to our official SXSW 2020 showcase, which unfortunately never took place due to the pandemic. It’s a joy to now watch them reach this exciting new chapter with Bar/None Records!
