Restlessness has characterized the last years in Lillie West’s life, living in places as different as New Mexico and Reykjavík. Her new album as Lala Lala, Heaven 2, reflects that journey — and the surprising realization that settling can bring its own kind of clarity — as she now finds herself in Los Angeles.
“Even Mountains Erode,” the new single released alongside the title track, brings some Icelandic chill and restraint into the Californian sun.
