I loved it back then and still do and am excited that the electro-pop trio is back with “I Believe in You,” their first new music in three years. The track is an irresistible slice of high-priestess disco that builds with hypnotic urgency while remaining unmistakably Ladytron.
Since their beginnings in Liverpool, the band has carved out a unique space at the intersection of dance and indie, and this new single signals the start of an exciting new era — with a new album already on the horizon.
“I Believe in You” arrives with a striking video directed by band member Daniel Hunt, where cult-like ritual collides with dancefloor ecstasy in a surreal, unsettling fashion.
