Every now and then, we stumble upon a gem from Utah — and this time it’s Salt Lake City’s own Krooked Kings. The five-piece just dropped the infectious “Parking Lot,” a sing-along anthem that bottles up the rush of youth and the dizzy thrill of falling in love for the first time.

Keyboardist David Macey shares:

“'Parking Lot' is a romantic daydream; the imagining of what a future life with a new crush could look like. Which can be sort of embarrassing but also a very fun thing to get swept up in. For the band it was very local, we can all picture the bar, parking lot, etc. in Salt Lake City that the song is happening at. Still, listeners will instantly be able to paint this song into their own local dive with their own intense crush.”
