Kaleah Lee - What Are You So Afraid Of

I fell in love with "What Are You So Afraid Of" instantly! The gentle finger-picked guitar, the soft, breezy vocals, the effortless harmonic flow. Just beautiful. A quick search on glamglare revealed that we had featured Kaleah Lee before, back in March 2024, with "Fever." We also enjoyed the Vancouver-based artist's debut EP, Birdwatcher, and are thrilled to hear new music from such a truly gifted singer/songwriter.

Truth be told, the artist name didn’t immediately ring a bell, but the intriguing title caught my attention. I was drawn in by the subtle critique and the gentle encouragement to give things a try. I absolutely love this!

"I’m an anxious person and often catch myself in scenarios where fear is the one thing holding me back. To, for once, be on the other side of that feeling, being able to find something worth throwing caution to the wind for, was very eye-opening. Questioning someone else's fears, even questioning my own, shed light on how fear creeps up and holds us back. Writing and producing this song signified an early step in a new personal direction I’m excited to share and cherish forever."
