Francis of Delirium - It’s a Beautiful Life [Video]
Bright guitars and an irresistible chorus make “It’s a Beautiful Life” a euphoric reminder to find beauty in everyday moments.
Francis of Delirium is the project of Luxembourg-based musician Jana Bahrich, who now announces her second album, Run, Run Pure Beauty, arriving May 29 via Dalliance Recordings. The new single “It’s a Beautiful Life” bursts open with bright guitars and a chorus that feels instantly uplifting — the kind of bouncy, feel-good anthem that is hard to resist.
Yet beneath the euphoric energy lies a thoughtful observation of everyday life. Bahrich builds the song from fleeting moments and small scenes that reveal both beauty and loneliness. As she explains:
“A coffee I had with a pianist who was about to play a Philip Glass piece at the Philharmonie in Berlin, watching a couple break up on a New York City park bench, walking past a choir rehearsing in a basement, and examining a loneliness that feels ingrained into daily life,” Jana says. “I’m not denying pain but trying to find the beauty alongside it.”
The video, directed by Kiyan Agadjani, adds a playful narrative inspired by classic teen movies, following an underdog basketball team called “The Rats” as they face the professional squad “The Giants." It's a story about perseverance and connection that took eight months to bring to life.
