With “To Myself,” Emma See turns letting go into an act of love.
Love and loss, distance and discovery, all meet in Emma See's new song “To Myself.” The London-based artist wrote the aching chorus in Copenhagen and carried the song across oceans: from Denmark to New York to Los Angeles before completing it during an unexpected day off, alone in her room. With producer Jomo Kru and newly recorded vocals in London, the track became a tender confession of growth and self-preservation, and we love it! Emma says about "To Myself:"
“It’s about being in a relationship and wanting to be with that person more than ever - but knowing you need to save you both by letting go. Sometimes you have to choose yourself, even if it feels selfish. In your twenties especially, for me at least, learning how to be alone and focusing on yourself can be the best way to grow - and eventually love someone better.”
