Emma Harner - The Lake (ft. Henry Jamison)
With "The Lake," Emma Harner proves she can hold her own alongside folk master Henry Jamison.

Boston-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Emma Harner has a way of pulling you in with her intricate guitar lines and heartfelt delivery. Her new single “The Lake” (featuring Henry Jamison) feels both intimate and expansive — a beautiful next step after her debut EP Taking My Side.
Admittedly, I’ve been a huge Henry Jamison fan ever since his 2019 album Gloria Duplex. So when I saw his name attached to “The Lake”, my curiosity was instantly piqued — and I was not disappointed. Hearing both singer-songwriters lend their gorgeous vocals to the track is a real treat. Consider me officially an Emma Harner fan as well.
Jamison shares about the collaboration:
“I was a fan of Emma’s and had heard the first verse and chorus of ‘The Lake’ in one of her videos, long before she wrote to me and asked if I would want to sing on it. She was working with my buddy Doug, who produced a lot of my third record, and they had made the song into this towering, incredibly moody thing. I wrote my verse inspired by that atmosphere and tracked it with them in Brooklyn. Emma is a generational talent and I feel very lucky to work with her."
Jamison's verse brings a new perspective to Harner’s story, deepening the song’s emotional resonance. Harner adds:
“Henry’s voice gives the song a whole new perspective and flavor. ‘The Lake’ is one of my favorites so far and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
