The London-based, Cork-bred singer, songwriter, and producer Balderdasch has never been one for the ordinary. Her new single “Stillness Gyrating” whirs and sparks like something dreamt up in a mad professor’s lab: synths, guitars, and jagged little details colliding into experimental pop that still sticks in your head.
Balderdasch tells us the idea behind the song:
“When someone says, ‘You don’t know how good we have it,’ it doesn’t sound like love. It sounds like, ‘You’re unhappy, but this is all you deserve.’”
