Austria - Math Equation
Canadian synth-pop musician @austra returns to dance music in her new single “Math Equation.” Her fifth album, “Chin Up Buttercup,” is coming out on November 14.
On the cover of her new record (see above), Katie Stelmanis, aka Austra, looks unhappy, and the opening lines of her latest song confirm: she has not been treated well in this relationship. The math here – one and one equals three – does not work out. There is not much lament in this song, though. Inspired by Eurodisco of the 1990s, “Math Equation" is a dance banger and a turn to the more intimate sound of her last album.
