The Montreal-based artist [**Wrené**](https://glamglare.com/artist/wrene?ref=glamglare.com) follows up on her album [*The Intangible*](https://glamglare.com/album/wrene-the-intangible?ref=glamglare.com) with “ELISHA (On the other side),” a song circling mortality and transformation. She leaves much room for interpretation, while the production moves through a wide range of emotions instead of sinking into darkness. Wrené also considers this relationship “one of deepest human experiences,” one that sets us apart from machines.

She explains the title:

> I picked the Feminine form of the name ‘Elijah’ for the title because it was the closest to what I was looking for- which was a biblical symbol of ‘carrier to the other side’. In this sense, the narrator could embody that carrier or saviour- or could be singing to them, asking to be saved.
