# Wings of Desire - Perfect World [Video]

British duo [**Wings of Desire**](https://new.glamglare.com/artist/wings-of-desire?ref=glamglare.com) released their gorgeous new single, “Perfect World.” Shoegazy strumming guitars without the dark mood, more like the urgency of Arcade Fire meeting the rocking confidence of Bruce Springsteen. Asked about their new single, **Chloe Little** and **James Taylor**, who together are Wings of Desire, say:

> “Perfect World” is about everything around you falling apart so that something even better can form in its place. Out with the old and in with the new as they say. It’s a melancholy sweetness against a backdrop of industrial optimism.

I wonder whether “industrial optimism” is nostalgia or tragic irony? Maybe a little bit of both? In any case, I totally dig “Perfect World,” and daydream a little now. Listen to “Perfect World,” our Song Pick of the Day, and check out the cinematic video too:
