“Lucky, Forever,” the closing track on [Vacations](https://new.glamglare.com/artist/vacations?ref=glamglare.com)’ new album, [*Pursuit of Anything*](https://new.glamglare.com/album/vacations-pursuit-of-anything?ref=glamglare.com), is one of those songs that feels easy to return to. Ultra gentle, almost like a welcomed caress, it rests on a dream cloud of soft sounds and leaves a quiet glow behind. After featuring “Holy Grail” and “I See Myself in You,” this one seals the deal: Vacations, and their new album, have officially become a new favorite around here.

Of course, we are not exactly alone. The Australian quartet around lead songwriter and vocalist Campbell Burns has amassed quite an impressive following, and with songs like this, it is easy to understand why.

Burns says the track was inspired by attending the weddings of his bandmates Jake Johnson and Joseph Van Lier, each marrying their respective partners:

> “Me trying to write the most clichéd love song that I can while trying to be really earnest. I wanted to write a song from their perspective. I don't really write love songs, and as a subject it's been incredibly overdone. But it was really refreshing to just write something that was so simple when it came to the intention.”

And somehow, that simplicity is exactly what makes the song so lovely. With “Lucky, Forever,” Vacations give us a quiet ode to love, and yes, we do feel lucky to have it.
