# ugly ozo - madonna

A declaration of love for a younger sister could be a sugar-sweet song. Still, by turning it into a fuzzy rock track, UK singer-songwriter Jessica Baker, aka [**ugly ozo**](https://glamglare.com/artist/ugly-ozo?ref=glamglare.com), acknowledges that the baby will grow up and leave her own mark on the world.

Jessica explains:

> “madonna’ is written from the perspective of an older sister looking out for her younger sibling, and is both deeply personal and widely resonant. It’s a grunge-soaked ode to sisterhood, vulnerability, and the bittersweet feeling of watching someone you love grow into themselves, with an overbearing sense of aching protectiveness
