Some of life’s hardest moments arrive wrapped in a melody that makes you smile. On “Isn’t Life a Bitch,” Icelandic alt-folk duo [**TÁR**](https://new.glamglare.com/artist/tar?ref=glamglare.com) pairs lighthearted singing with a flurry of subjects that hit considerably harder. The casual delivery feels disarming, as though these troubles were being shared over a drink with a friend.

The duo explains:

> “It’s about the struggle of doing everything in your power to break old habits and start fresh, but you still can’t seem to stop fucking it all up…”

That mix of frustration and humor carries into their debut music video, directed by **Baldvin Z** and filmed and edited by **Adam Thor Murtomaa**. Appearing in an assortment of makeup and eccentric personas, the pair looks like they had plenty of fun turning everyday despair into something delightfully absurd. The playfulness gives those bruising admissions room to land—and perhaps makes them a little easier to recognize in ourselves.
