“Sit and Stare” aptly summarizes the new EP “Awake” by Julie Jay, who records as [**Tiny Dinosaurs**](http://tinydinosaursmusic.com/?ref=glamglare.com): it has a reflective feel to it, with an undercurrent of melancholy beneath the bright synth and guitar lines. Julie, who emerged from a long illness, is based in L.A. and found remarkable collaborators for this effort, such as Peter Silberman of the Antlers who is featured on the first single. “Awake” will be out on October 21 and will be followed by a second part.
