# SONG PICK: The Thing With Feathers - Static

Charismatic vocals, crisp drumming, and sharp songwriting mark the sound of Nashville-based indie-rockers [**The Thing With Feathers**](https://www.ttwfband.com/?ref=glamglare.com). Their recent single “Static” announces their upcoming EP [*Sundays In The South*](https://thethingwithfeathers.lnk.to/SundaysInTheSouth?ref=glamglare.com) and the equally named tour, which kicks off on February 22nd in Newport, KY. The quartet is also already among the already announced artists to play [SXSW 2022](https://schedule.sxsw.com/2022/artists/2052415?ref=glamglare.com).

When asked about their sound, the band’s frontman **Dave** **Welcsh** says:

> Our music is an invitation. It’s an empowerment, a call to something greater, a belief in something more, but most of all it is hope.
