The Californian musician Allie Nixon chose the name **[Pool Girl](https://glamglare.com/artist/pool-girl?ref=glamglare.com)** as a hommage to her immigrant grandfather who started his new life by cleaning swimming pools. In her new dreamy, glittering synth-pop song “[I Liked It](https://wp.glamglare.com/music/2024/07/03/pool-girl-i-liked-it/?ref=glamglare.com),” she sings about the value of casual relationships. “Acknowledging that though they may not be true intimacy, there is a worthwhile light heartedness and playfulness in exploring curiosities,” Allie says.
