The song itself is carefully arranged, giving Morgan Harper-Jones’ vocals the room they deserve to shine, plus a little guitar strumming, mindful drums, and not much else. She starts her song with “I’m not one for sweet nothings”, and when asked about the inspiration for “Lie To Me,” Morgan Harper-Jones sums it all up with:
