By now, the Dutch singer/songwriter [**néomí**](https://glamglare.com/artist/neomi?ref=glamglare.com) earned the label "prolific." Her stunning 2024 debut album [*somebody's daughter*](https://glamglare.com/album/neomi-somebodys-daughter?ref=glamglare.com) still rings in our ears, and here is already the next single, "Do You Want To Be Honest?" The new song gives us an insight into a relationship – presumably not romantic – that lacks clarity and honesty. 

néomí says about the song:

> This song is about trying to find middle/solid ground when you can’t control the movements and actions of the people/world around you. When I was writing ‘Do You Want To Be Honest?’, I was in a situation where I was fed up of guessing what everybody was saying or thinking, in this instance one specific person. In this situation we were making excuses for not trying to navigate our ways out of our predicament, actively trying not to be friends. I realised I was doing things that were stopping me from finding a solid base from which to rebuild.
