# Miynt - Blu-Ray Land

Remember Blu-ray, the embattled media format that was supposed to bring high-definition to home TV before streaming made it almost immediately obsolete? The Swedish singer, songwriter, and producer Fredrika Ribbing, aka [**Miynt**](https://glamglare.com/artist/miynt?ref=glamglare.com), turned this piece of tech history into a metaphor that perfectly fits her signature retro-futuristic pop sound.

> I got inspired by the word Blu-ray. It felt fun to make a theme-song for a dead brand. I’m bored of everyone trying to sell me something from active brands. It made sense to me to build a world around something that is out of function and time, to help me sell my active self. It’s about high definition resolutions in lo-fi relationships.
