> ‘keep it to yourself’ was the first time Nick, Maya, and I tried to write together. Maya played the opening riff, which Nick immediately chopped up. The chorus came to me on the way to the grocery store, and once I tracked the vocals, we kept reshaping the production until it struck that balance of feeling smooth but still hitting hard in the choruses.
