# Johnny Lloyd - Manchester in Bloom

Last time I featured [**Johnny Lloyd**](https://new.glamglare.com/artist/johnny-lloyd?ref=glamglare.com), the North London composer, singer and songwriter, he released the beautiful "[Joypolis](https://www.glamglare.com/music/song-pick-johnny-lloyd-joypolis/)." That was in 2021\. Further back in 2019, I came across him for the very first time, thanks to the grandiose "[Next Episode Starts In 15 Seconds](https://www.glamglare.com/music/song-pick-johnny-lloyd-next-episode-starts-in-15-seconds-accoustic-session-ft-frank-turner/)." Now, Johnny Lloyd landed on my radar again with the beautifully mellow yet still poignant and punchy "Manchester in Bloom," a track from his upcoming fourth album. About the single release, Johnny says: 

> *“'Manchester in Bloom' is a song about beginnings and ends in a relationship. It’s about trying to hold onto things that are slipping away.”*

Johnny's new album [*Punchline*](https://orcd.co/johnnylloydpunchline?ref=glamglare.com) is set for January 31st via [Xtra Mile](https://www.xtramilerecordings.com/?ref=glamglare.com), and Johnny states about the album: 

> *“If there was one album I've made to showcase my music I would want it to be this one. I started writing the album at the end of 2022 when the world was still transitioning out of the pandemic and I feel like that feeling is present in the music. I pushed as hard as I could creatively to go places I haven't previously been… I am very grateful for the amazing musicians who played on this album and to Max Clilverd for bringing it together.”*
