Sometimes the ear knows before the brain catches up. By the third listen to "Setting Sun," the pull was unmistakable: restless, unsettling, oddly alluring, and absolutely hypnotic, with a mood that made me think of Radiohead before I had looked anything up. Then the credits snapped into place. [**Dragonflies**](https://new.glamglare.com/artist/dragonflies?ref=glamglare.com) brings together longtime friends **Dhani Harrison**, son of George Harrison, and **Nigel Godrich**, whose long association with Radiohead includes pivotal albums like *OK Computer* and *Kid A*. Suddenly, that beautifully uneasy atmosphere made perfect sense.

"Setting Sun" appears on Dragonflies’ self-titled [debut album](https://new.glamglare.com/album/dragonflies-dragonflies?ref=glamglare.com), released September 18\. Still, the song is not a footnote to anyone’s past. A gently propulsive bassline keeps the song moving while piano, synths, and Harrison’s vocals gather around it like light shifting at the edge of evening. Godrich calls it "angular pop music," and that feels right: melodic, strange, precise, and slightly off-balance in the most mesmerizing way.
