We’ve been fans of the Melbourne sister duo for many years and still dream of catching them live one day. What continues to inspire us is how deeply Ivy and Mabel Windred-Wornes shape their own visual world: cinematic, imaginative, often self-directed. The new clip for "Meteor" is as captivating as the visuals for "[Treading Water](https://www.glamglare.com/music/song-pick-charm-of-finches-treading-water-video)" or "[Clean Cut](https://www.glamglare.com/music/charm-of-finches-clean-cut-video/)."

About the song, they share:

> “This song came out of a bit of a turbulent time, and contemplates the sometimes fraught relationship with the self. We’ve visited many dramatic landscapes this year — we hiked up an active volcano in New Zealand and visited the oldest rainforest in the world up in Northern Queensland. We think that witnessing the power and grandeur of nature really influenced the writing of this song.”

The video follows that spirit with shamanic and Venetian-inspired masks, and the duo adds:

> “We love to create music videos that are sort of like mini short films. We drew aesthetic inspiration from Yellow Jackets with a sprinkle of Narnia. We got out the glue guns and handcrafted elven twig crowns and feathered costume pieces, and even painted an animal skull mask… We wanted to capture a magical, powerful, natural world and incorporate the beauty of the Australian landscape.”
