The six members of [**Calico City**](https://glamglare.com/artist/calico-city?ref=glamglare.com) from Perth, Australia, formed the band in high school and developed a rich alternative rock sound with reggae influences and two female vocalists sharing the singing. We have [often talked lately](https://www.glamglare.com/music/good-music-needs-a-stage/) about the value of music performed live, and here is a band that carries that vibe over even on their recordings.

The band says about their debut EP [*Second in Line*](https://glamglare.com/album/calico-city-second-in-line?ref=glamglare.com):

> “Second in Line’ explores the complexities and the grey areas around being friends, and the many ways a friendship can crumble or grow into something more. Each song dives down a different path of a relationship, the messy paths, the hot and heavy and the more mellow. Our EP takes you through all sorts of possibilities of feeling like the lesser priority and being ‘Second in Line’ in a friendship.
