# Alto Alto - Broken Fin

Oxford indie-rock band [**Alto Alto**](https://new.glamglare.com/artist/alto-alto?ref=glamglare.com) makes a splash on the scene with their mesmerizing single "Broken Fin." It's hard to believe that this marks only the debut of Alto Alto, which makes them one exciting emerging act to watch! I asked Alto Alto whether they'd tell us a bit more about "Broken Fin," and band leader **Jonny Payne** said:

> "'Broken Fin' captures times I’ve faced rougher seas than ever before, whether swimming or surfing. The lyrics aim to draw listeners into that feeling of being out of depth, evoking fear and the strength to overcome it. Guitars mirror the ocean’s relentless swell, while the drums drive forward with unyielding power. A brief calming interlude represents the stillness between waves, building tension and anticipation before reaching a climactic, and hopefully triumphant, ending."
